Sheet Feeder issues

HP Recommended
HP Designjet T520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there any way to completely disable the sheet feeder?  We only print on roll paper, but the printer seems to want to keep trying to use the sheet feeder even if we are printing D size sheets and are intending to use the roll of paper that is loaded.  The printing preference is set to Roll paper and Architectural D size paper.  Occasionally, when printing we get a pop up message that the printer has an issue that needs to be addressed.  Is says that the sheet feeder is empty and we can cancel the job or use the roll paper.  We then get partial prints, no print and just wasted paper or a print in the wrong orientation and need to trim and waste paper.

Hi,  Thanks for contact with HP Support Forum.

There no options to disable sheet feed. ....just before sending any job commas, please check correctly send it. ..You have to select roll paper not sheet feed. ...

Please correctly proceed as like below paper size if you don't waste your paper. ...

If required, please update the latest firmware through HP DesignJet Printer Utility.

Driver and Firmware: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-designjet-t120-printer/5263073

N.B: Firmware Rev. depands on your printer last digit on Part Number like: CQ890A/B/C

Once complete the firmware update, then try to settings like below (Just change the Paper Size):

The printing preferences had previously been set up as you show in your post.  For whatever reason, AutoCAD seems to have a problem with this unless I also go into CAD and have it set up a temporary print setup every time I print.  As for firmware, I haven't checked it, but the printer is only 3 months old.
