How do I change the boot device

Process 600 G1 TWR
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I have to reload a destop with Widows 7, but can not get the bios to change the boot device and think i have tried everything, short of throwing this out the window, does anyone have any suggestions.

Many thanks

How do I change the boot device

@Keith60

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

The three keys that tend to work are Esc, Del, and F10 -- you start pressing one repeatedly upon reboot and keep pressing it until you get a text menu on the screen, or you go directly into the BIOS setup. One of the three should work.

Good Luck

That did help but led to all sorts of issues. Ended up removing the drive formatted it in another PC and was then able to load Windows successfully. The driver DVD and Monitor drivers from the original disks did not do anything at all and ended up laboriously downloading everything. Anyhow success after 48 hours of cursing at an inanimate object the PC now works.
