New all in one with existing login screen (not mine)

Desktop all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

PUrchased NEW all in one desktop - unpacked it and set it up.  Turned it on but I only get an existing gmail login screen requiring password or pin.  Can't get past it.  Why is a user login on this new computer and how can I get rid of it to get to the Windows screen?

You have been "duped" -- the seller claimed it was "new", but obviously it was a "return" from a different customer.

 

Take it back to the seller, and demand a refund, or a replacement.

 

I wonder how long the previous owner used the computer ?!

Was it virus-infected, when returned to the seller?

 

Do you have an office of the "Better Business Bureau" near you?  Complain to them.

 

Or, find a TV news-reporter that will want to intervene, i.e., talk to the seller.  Being exposed on TV news is the threat.

 

As a final resort, turn the computer off.

Turn the computer on, and look for an option to interrupt normal start-up, and choose to restore the factory-installed operating system from the hidden "System Recovery" partition.  This should completely "reset" Windows.

I restored to factory settings - thanks for the feedback. Wish I had time to follow through on your other suggestions.
