Not booting, asks to check drive, run diagnostic.

HP Recommended
HP ENVY x360 m6 Convertible PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am currently experiencing an issue where my laptop will not bootup properly. When powered on it says Hard Disk Error and asks to run the Hard Drive diagnostic. After doing so it simply says:

 

Testing Drive: 1

SMART Check: PASSED

Long DST: FAILED

 

FAILURE ID: GLPWSF-88X93S-GXGK7F-61CF03

PRODUCT ID: W2K44UA#ABA

 

I am sure this is a hard drive failure, however I do want to be sure and would also like to know what my options are going forward.

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char failure id indicates the HDD is failing and it needs to be replaced. Is it still under warranry ? If Yes, please call HP for a replacement.
