Pavilion 23 cannot log in- password is correct

Pavilion 23

I have a pavilin 23 that i have not started since 2017 tax season. I have reset the windows password which logs in on my ipad but does not work on the pavilion. 

I called tech support & got someone extremely rude who refused my request to speak with someone in the U.S.

He stated the whole system is locked up and now cannot be accessed without paying a warranty cost and that the system now must be completely reset. Surely this cant be the case.

Can someone please help?

Thanks for the post and Welcome to HP Forums

I understand that your are facing a concern related to your Login Password

Kindly use your Onscreen Keyboard to try entering the Password – Just in case some of the keys in the KB is not working

Make sure your PC is connected to Network if you are using a Connected Account before logging in

If still this is not functioning straight forward solution is to Reset the pc only

Thank you for your reply. A local tech assisted. The keyboard was working fine. The network was connected.

The computer is now working.
