button after the first press) may repeat this 3 times before starting up.

Has anyone had the happen?

Hi

Run an F2 diagnostic perhaps, looking to check the HDD.  Unlikely to be the CMOS battery.

So if you can test the HDD and if it reports a problem MAKE backups and external recovery media if you dont already have them.

Power Button keeps restarting computer.

Seems that Hard Drive might have something to do with this.  All I used to do was hold power button down

for a second or two,  you could here the hard drives spinning up,  just let the power button go and it would keep starting

up.  Now as soon as you hold power button down it shuts off for 5 seconds and then starts up.  Sometimes have to repeat this two or three times to get it going.  Maybe the  power supply is on the way out.  I will try the F2 diagnostics and let you know,

Thank
