HP ENVY Desktop - 750-124
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hp desktop 750-124 windows 10 will not start.  The screen asks for the 'power on password'.  All attempts to get into the bios have failed.  I have tried ESC,delete,F2,F1,F10,F8,F12--none worked. Is there a way to solve this? I would be very grateful.

@janlil12 -- that "power-on" password is the key to doing anything on your computer -- to allow you, as the sole "key-holder", to unlock the computer. The Rules of Participation of this peer-to-peer discussion forum prevent any contributor from giving any advice on how to "bypass" that password.

You lock your front-door, to prevent unuathorized entry.

You (or somebody with physical access to your computer) set the password on the computer, to prevent unauthorized usage.

Note that any technician who is NOT a subscriber to this forum is not bound to this forum's "rules".

Or, if you have proof-of-purchase of the computer, contact HP Support for assistance.
