Unable to see hard drive of cdrom in boot selection after apply defaults and exit

hp paviion p6-2412a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The actual on screen error is

error: No boot disk has been found or the disk has failed

The only things i have in Boot order are eufi boot sources

usb floppy

usb hard drive

uefi ipv4

uefi ipv6

Previous to the apply defaults and exit I had the cd and hard drive because I changed it to boot from the cdrom

The machine is out of warantee but hp are going to escelate the problem for me

In the meantime if anyone can help with a solution that would be great

hp things that the motherboard may now be faulty after attempting to apply defaults

Any help or ideas would be very much appreciated

Nonsense.

The "defaults" have disabled booting from "legacy" devices.  Your CD/DVD is a "legacy" device.

As they say: you have painted yourself into a corner.

Enter BIOS SETUP, and enable what you disabled.
