Hi
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat

AND/OR - Power on your PC, press Esc (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

HOW DO I USE DIAGNOSTICS?

HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows is a Windows-based utility that allows you to run diagnostic tests to determine if the computer hardware is functioning properly. The tool runs within the Windows operating system in order to diagnose hardware failures. Hi

So check the BIOS for the Boot Order/Sequence.

There is a timer for choosing Safe Boot, mine is 8 seconds, doubt it's relevant, but clutching at straws.

Personally I would Re-Install using a clean copy of W10, then add in any missing drivers.

This does need you to have data etc backed up, but I believe you already do this.

AAAAnd it is no bad thing to have this extra option (8 GB USB stick)...

Create Windows 10 installation media

To get started, you will first need to have a license to install Windows 10. You can then download and run the media creation tool. For more information on how to use the tool, see the instructions below.

hello, yeah i checked the bios order to make sure i had the usb up top, i also diabled the legacy, i also had a seperate flash drive to get it to open up, i ran all the hp tests and they all passed, the usb i used was a brand new hp recovery to set it back to factory specs. then i had to use the second that had my old version on it, the thing that makes me wonder is that using the hp to set back to factory , it said attempt failed every time, even now when the screen pops up, if i click on set up windows option, i get the same error message, i think its going off the deck and i live on the second floor!! can`t figure it out

Hi

"hello, yeah i checked the bios order to make sure i had the usb up top,"

HARD DISK is first, USB second, Network PXE disabled.
