my hp desk computer does'nt boot after I entered my password

Pavilion 23-q119
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My desktop does't boot correctly after I entered my password,  it does'nt show items on the task bar,  and does'nt stop running and running for hours without opening correctly,  does'nt even show the network barrs

 

Help please

Hi

 

Assume the HDD is / has failed and Make Backups.  Create Recovery Media if needed.

 

Try a re-install, like an F11 Factory Fresh and rebuild the disk.

 

Run an F2 Diagnostic.

 

If in doubt please ask.
