Hi John

Run HP Diagnotics before doing anything.

I don't see a BIOS version 7.07 listed at your PC's HP Support site..

The only explanation is 7.07 is the initial BIOS version HP shipped from the factory.

7.04 does not have a revision history.

BIOS version 7.04 fixes a resume from sleep issue. Your description of the problem does not match the 7.04 fix.

You could try the BIOS 7.04 Rev. A update at your own risk.

BIOS updates could kill your PC if it fails or you lose AC power during the update. Proceed with extreme caution. Failing components in concert with a BIOS update could be a recipe for disaster.

Other stuff could be happening such as failing components. Your PC is six years old.

Possible causes could be:

1. RAM

2. Power Supply

3. Motherboard.
