System was having consistant memory based system failures, so I determined to replace ALL of the orignial 6gb of memory (3 * 2gb each strip) with the maximum listed of 16gb (4 * 4gb each strip). Blew all of the accumulated dusk off all components, installed all 4 memory strips correctly (they are clicked in and in tight) and on power up.... NOTHING happens other than all of the fans running. Can not tell if any thing else is working.
The question is this "can this model actually support that much memory"???
Because the documentation side that 4 strips of 4 = 16gb.

@armydad0310, welcome to the forum.
According to the specifications the maximum memory is 16 GB as you mentioned. I suggest trying each of the sticks of memory one at a time to make certain that they all work properly. You should place each stick in the slot closest to the processor for this test.
