Hi,

Are you saying that the motherboard in your PC has a m.2 slot?  I don't think so.

Please clarify your post.

No , the motherboard does not have an m.2 slot but it does have a pci e x 16 slot.... i would like to know if i were to purchase a pci e ssd , could i place the pci e ssd in the pci e x 16 slot and if that would work....is there any way for me to check if my bios would be compatible with that....i do have the Q65 Express chipset and from what i have read on the internet it vaguely says that the Q65 Express chipset supports Nvme.....

thanks again

Hi,

You might be able to get a Plextor PX-G256M6e m.2 2280 using an adapter like the Bplus M2P4A (x4 adapter)  to work.  The Plextor NGFF SSD supports both MBR and UEFI.   It's only x2 but it should work with a Q65 chipset.
