Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I updated my bios through HP, so I'm wondering if the update lets me upgrade my cpu to the AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

If you look at the section titled "Processor/Processor upgrade information" you will find a list of compatible processors.  These have been fully tested to assure they are compatible.  Any other processors will most likely not work.  The AMD Ryzen7-1800X (Summit Ridge) 3.6 GHz, 8 cores/16 threads would be a great upgrade: https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-7-1800x/p/N82E16819113430?Description=AMD%20Ryzen7-1800X%20(Summit%...
