Operating System: FreeDOS

My Laptop 'HP Notebook - 15-ac042tu' is getting very slow. Its taking a booting time of more than 2 to 3 min. My 1TB HDD is having almost 50% free space. Should I upgrade it to SSD? or upgrade my 4gb RAM to 8gb RAM? if so which SSD and RAM is compatible for my laptop?

if there is other way then please suggest.

Hi:

 

I recommend you do both.

 

Adding a 4 GB memory chip will double the memory to 8 GB, and with 2 x 4 GB, the memory will run in the higher performing dual channel mode instead of the lower performing single channel mode it is currently running in.

You can replace the existing 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD.

 

If your 1 TB hard drive is half full, then you will need to buy a 1 TB SSD, because the next size smaller is 500 GB and you don't want the drive that full.
