As you can see the previous response the base has 4 screws that can be removed using the hex key. So you can remove the base or replace it. If I am correct you can install the screen in the wall or a differnt platform where you will not need the base.

Unfortunately, the computer is not designed to accept a wall mount (no screw holes on the back for a mounting bracket). I hope that's something HP will remedy on future models. A screen this size is perfect for the kitchen, and being able to mount it on the wall and pivot it when you're watching Netflix would be awesome!
