HP Envy 700-216
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to get another year out of my Desktop, so I added a USB3.0/USB C PCI-E card.  The card has the ability to amplify power, so I did plug a power plug from the power supply in.  Seems to be recognized, and USB 2.0 devices work fine.

Issue 1: When I plug a USB3.0 jump stick in, I get a message that the device can go faster if I used a faster port.

Issue 2: When I plug a USB C port replicator in, one which I know works otherwise, it does not seem to work at all.

I went to HP Updates, and don't see much there that would be helpful, although there are 2 updates which are needed, but grayed out as no longer available, which is confusing.

I was looking for a place to check the BIOS rev (does not appear to have ever been updated (JA2 v80.49) otherwise and could not find it.

So, any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Mike
