Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My pc start with this error "The system BIOS Pending Image is being cleared.....". After that, a screen message inform me of a corrupted BIOS image  than it tries to restore the BIOS by itself. At the end of the process it seems successfull, reboot itself but the error start again and the pc enter in loop with all the the error  messages all over again.

I tried the keyboard combination and the usual procedures, nothing works.

I would like to try the USB recovery image for BIOS but the driver page of this model is empty (not even a single driver!).

If anyone has the image of the BIOS for this model, please PM me.

Thanks

Hi @Mister98,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a BIOS-related issue with your HP All-in-One - 24-df0086nl. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist you better:

  • Was there any BIOS update before the issue occurred?
  • Did you install any 3rd party software?

While you respond to that, please try the below steps:

Crisis BIOS Recovery

  1. Turn off the computer, and then connect the power cord.
  2. Press and hold the Windows key and the B key at the same time, and then press and hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds.

Keyboard highlighting the key presses for BIOS recovery

  1. Release the Power button but continue pressing the Windows and B keys. You might hear a series of beeps.
  • If the HP BIOS Update screen does not display, repeat the previous steps but press the Windows key and the V key. If the screen still does not display, your computer might not support the feature or there is a hard drive issue. Continue to the next section to Recover the BIOS using a USB recovery drive.
  • If the Power light turns off, the Power button was held too long. Repeat the previous steps, making sure to hold the Power button for only 2 to 3 seconds.
  • If a BIOS recovery message repeatedly displays, continue to the next section to Recover the BIOS using a USB recovery drive.
  • If a message that the computer improperly shut down or a boot problem is detected displays, follow the on-screen instructions to resolve the error.
  • If Windows starts, update to the latest BIOS version. Go to HP Notebook PCs - Updating the BIOS for more information.
The HP BIOS Update screen displays and the recovery begins automatically.

HP BIOS Update recovery in progress

Update the BIOS (Basic Input Output System) for your PC,

If the issue persists then I would suggest you to reinstall the complete operating system using  HP Cloud Recovery Tool.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

  • Was there any BIOS update before the issue occurred?i really dont't know but i didn't do any update manually, i'm not sure (if possible) an automatic update could have been done by the pc during stand-by.
  • Did you install any 3rd party software?Just the usual work utilities es. MS. office, the printer software (also HP) google chrome  ect. If you mean software that can interact with the system, no i didn't.

I already tried the key combination method on startup with no luck. Basically it enters in the bios recovery by itself but it fails to restore the BIOS at the end of the process. Not allowing me to interact with the process in any way. Th epc enters in the same loop over and over. Bios error - Recovery bios software tries to restore the BIOS - reboot and error again.

As i said before i would like to try the USB key method but i couldn't find any BIOS file i(or any other driver) in my PC model section on HP website.

Thanks for your help

Sorry for my bad english 🙂
