My hp desktop beeps for 5 times at start up and the light doesn’t turn blue.

Hi:

 

5 beeps usually means the is a problem with the memory.

 

Shut down and unplug the PC.

 

Open it up and firmly remove and reseat the memory modules.

 

If that doesn't fix the problem, shut down and unplug the PC.

 

Remove all memory modules but one, and test each one individually to find out which memory module may have gone bad on you.
