My pc tower and monitor had both just been switched on when the power to them was accidentally turned off and on again. When I then went to use it, the power buttons are lit up but the screen is blank, I've turned it all off and on again and screen says there is no video input and to check cable. Everything is plugged in all ok. Any ideas?

It could be that the rapid switching caused a failure. It is also possible that it just cased a problem. Try unplugging both items and hold the start button on the PC for 30 - 45 seconds. Then plug them both back in and try it all again with a normal startup.
