Recovery

HP Recommended
P6367
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)
After two days of scanning and repairing my computer is asking for a recovery tool due to error 0cx000000f, file WMILIB.SYS. I would have no problems resetting it to its original settings but I have already upgraded two Windows 10 in Microsoft is telling me that I need to contact HP.

Is there a way to repair the operating system without erasing all my files?

If your computer currently is running Windows 10, you have a "digital entitlement" to reinstall it, at any time, at no cost to you.

See: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

and "burn" Windows 10 (Version 1709 Fall Creators Update) onto DVD-recordable media.

Then, boot your computer from the DVD, and one option should be to "repair" your existing installation.

Another option should be to "upgrade" your existing installation.

Both options should preserve your existing personal files.
