Example: Slimline Pavilion s52601n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

1. Device manager shows TPM 2 working but in events it is configured but not started

2. whether s5260in can be switched to UEFI mode. at present it shows legacy as I had to make a clean installation of windows 10 pro as i did not have back up dvds.

@Ramki1

Once Windows is installed and running in one mode, you can't simply switch the UEFI/BIOS to the other mode as Windows will then no longer boot.

You would have to create new Windows install media using the new mode and install using that.

Additionally, the drive would have to be reformatted to support the new mode -- GPT for UEFI mode.

You need to know EVERYTHING that your system lacks for Windows 11, not just TPM or what the MS tool tells you.

Here is a link to a third-party tool that will check all the currently known requirements for Windows 11 and tell you what fails on your PC: https://github.com/rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11/releases

Do NOT try to download this using MS Edge as it flags it as malware -- which it is NOT -- use a different Browser instead.

You have at least two optons:

1. some HP computer have "cloud-based" recovery -- download the original software from HP's "cloud" servers.

2. Get Windows 10 | Microsoft -- download the "generic" version of Windows 10 from Microsoft, and then download many HP-specific updates & device-drivers from http://Support.HP.com
