Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed a pcie nvme ssd on my  hp compaq elite 8300 sff desktop pc. Started the install process of MS Windows 10. It sarted to load setup from the media creation tool. Partitions were created and started the installation process from the beginning. Once done it rebooted and restarted the process again. It appears windows is not be able to see and boot from that drive. How can I enable it to continue with the rest of the installation?

Hi @Tech_Geo 

 

I am not aware of any way to make an M.2 PCIe NVME drive installed in a PCIe slot (using an adapter) bootable without BIOS support.

 

Since your PC's MB has no M.2 sockets the BIOS would not support booting to an NVME drive.

 

You should be able to do a 2.5 inch SATA SSD to improve system performance.
