how to upload/export a document , printer to computer.

I need some very basic help> I need to get a document on my computer so I can forward it. I put the document in my printer but I do not know what to do next. What do I click on etc

Is your printer an "all-in-one" (copier & scanner & printer) ?

If so:

* click the Windows Flag (bottom-left corner of your screen),

* into the input-window, type 'scan', and let Windows suggest the "Fax and Scan" application,

* click on that application, to open it,

* select your printer/scanner as the input device,

* click "scan".
