I have done everything i possibly can that i know of using the internet (F10, F5 F8 etc), i even called and got no help except more it will cost you $60 to get a number and i asked what is the number for where? No answer
Last week, the computer no longer got past the microsoft logo (note no discs of any kind came with the computer, just it the mouse and the keyboardy from Best Buy) and no there isn't extra warranty on it. Ok i did system recovery, didn't work, system restor to last point it was working didn't work.
Now it has obviosuly recognized i did a recovery so it goes to the logo screen and then the white box "Configuration Number Error)" comes up. Tells me to call HP to obtain it and the story goes on.
Is there any backdoor tricks to obtain the config number, or of any fixes you know.
I was wondering if it was a complete hard drive fail.
Any help is grealty appreciated!
