Driver for use as external DVD

HP Recommended
5605UK Athlon Super Multi DVD RewriterModel HG10L
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have harvested a Super Multi DVD RewriterModel HG10L from my old Compaq SR5605UK Athlon desktop PC. I have connected it via SATA to USB cable adapter with power to my USB drive on my Dell Inspiron 13 5000 series PC Windows 10 64 bit software. However it will not recognise it, states i'ts an unknown USB device,

device descriptor request failed,

Port_#0003.Hub_#0001,

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

 driver error,

status: needs troubleshooting

I run troubleshooting says restart to resolve the issue

I restart it but still won't recognise it!

Help?
