Envy won't turn on

Product Name: HP Envy
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My HP Envy Desktop, will not turn on.  I tried unplugging it and replugging in.  The green light on the back turns on when I plug it in, however when I press the on switch, absolutely nothing happens

Re: Envy won't turn on

Although you did not state an exact model number, the generic PowerSupply (PSU) troubleshooter can be found here. What is bothersome is your description,  as pressing the switch might cause the green light (as stated) to turn - off.  Perform the step-by-step, without skipping anything.  Have the case open, and observe the CPU fan, and rear fan fan.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served.
Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..

Re: Envy won't turn on

Please do the mobo self test by opening your computer. Remove the RAM. After the RAM has been removed, plug back in the power cord and turn on the pc. If it has a beeping sound mobo is never been an issue.
Next do the RAM DANCE by testing each RAM in your pc one at a time. If in any chance that there's a beeping sound produce while testing each RAM in each of the memory slot, that RAM Itself is having a failure.
Now, if no beeping sound can be heard that means your RAM is working good.
Checked next the video card, as that will be the possible reason why the pc is turning on but it's not displaying anything.
