HP PC Hardware Diagnostics

HP Recommended
Pavilion All-in_one 24-x
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Posted a question concerning HP PC Hardware Diagnostics hanging up at 10% Video Memory check (Fast or Extended).

Updated with SP 85413 as recommended on the hp support page identifying my system.

Now, it no longer hangs up but shows "Cancelled" for either Video Memory Fast Check or Video Extended Memory Check?

Everything else passes.  The software window that opens on my monitor says HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows (the  Service Pack titled HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI?) and before and after the update my version still says 1.1.0?

Please post the HP product number for your PC. How to Find the HP Model Number and the HP Product Number or let HP automatically find your PC model number and HP network attached printers. This will allow others to review your issue, make suggestions and review your responses. This is usually the best way to get assistance.

The latest HP Hardware Diagnostics should be sp85414.exe according to the download update.  You can run the diagnostics from either the hard drive or from an USB flash drive.  I have updated both devices for execution on my HP PCs.  I always use F2 after power on to invoke the diagnostics.

The UEFI Diagnostics page should read version or later if you have loaded the latest diagnostics and invoke the diagnostics via the F2 after power.

Apparently the software program HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows; and HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI  sp85414.exe are 2 different critters.

The former will not run on my PC....stalls out at 10%.  The latter, run thru F2, runs great with no issues found.

Perhaps I should just uninstall the former?
