I cannot attach documents to e-mail, this includes any kind of Word or Excel document from Onedrive

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to send a word or excel document to another person via e-mail, I go to Onedrive select the file, select send by e-mail and I get a message that goes something like no e-mail detected unable to link, yet I have email on my computer and have used it successfully to receive and send emails since I bought the computer. Tried Microsoft support this morning and spent 10 minutes being berated by an agent that I don't have a purchased maint program for my computer, then he wanted to sell me a plan for $300 and when I refused he hung up without fixing my problem. I need some help please.

@BuzzCanuck,

The files within OneDrive require file sharing or permissions.

Copy the file back to your computer, then perform the usual email attachment process.

Please let me know if this simple request worked for you.  If so, I can then bookmark it.
