No Start button in Win 10

HP Recommended
HP Envy 750-814
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a new Desktop PC and connected it to my 28 inch Samsung monitor and it appears to work fine with one exception. It appears that I'm not getting the full display . A small part of the screen is not fitting on the screen causing me not to show a start button at the far bottom left or the red "x" to exit from a window that usually appears to the far top right. At the bottom of the screen I do show the task bar etc but to the far left bottom it ends at teh Cortana app.  How can I get all the display to fit?

@LouG611

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

This means that Windows is not auto-detecting the resolution of your display panel properly and is generating an image that is too large for the display.

The way you correct this is to press the button on the display that generates the On Screen Display (known as the OSD) which shows a menu, and one of the selections from that menu should allow you, using buttons on the display, to resize the screen to fit on the display.

Good Luck

Thanks very much. Found the OSD button on the display, and all is fine now.

Thanks again!
