When I scroll down to read an entire article, the computer spontaneously scrolls the screen back up before I can read the article.  Is there an evil genie inside?  Any suggestions to cure this problem?  Thanks for your consideration.

Yes, there could be.  Some web-pages have an "auto-refresh" option -- think of a "stock-ticker" page, showing near-real-time prices. As it refreshes, the web-browser scrolls to the top of the page.

On which web-site are you viewing?  Does it happen on every web-page (YouTube? CNN? Fox News?)

Thanks.  right now I know of only 1, Yahoo.  I have not had the chance to explore others yet.
