Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello everyone.

I am hoping I put this in the right board. As I am completely unsure what is going on, I may not have. I apologize for that.

Anyways to the problem at hand.

I have a few games I bought from bigfishgames.com

The system requirements of both games says that I can install them on Windows 8.

I install them - no problem. Start the game - no problem.

But shortly after I start the game I get this following error message...

"Error: Acess violation at 0x5A709AC5 (tried to read from 0x00000034), program terminated."

And the program does indeed shut down afterward.

I have tried contacting big fish themselves and they were 0 help. They couldn't tell me what this meant or how to fix it.

Maybe you guys can? I would like to be able to play my games that I paid money for.

Thanks!
