HP Pavilion All-in-One 27 - ro58na
Chrome OS

Hi there, the issue I am posting about concerns an all-in-one desktop

The problem I am experiencing is when I am using the device as an external monitor by connecting an external PC through the HDMI input port

There are two external devices I have tried - the first is a laptop with a Windows 10 OS (64-bit) and the second is a Chromebox running Chrome OS

Unfortunately, when I try to adjust the brightness of the monitor using the system settings on either the laptop or the Chromebox, the monitor brightness does not change and remains the same

Please note that the all-in-one device itself does not have any way of changing the brightness using the hardware itself (there are not brightness buttons or buttons allowing access to menu options which control brightness)

i would be grateful if somebody could advise on what may be causing this and how it can be resolved

Thank you

Kind regards

Sam
