HP Recommended
HP PAVILION20
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Upgrade Interent speed with ISP(Comcast) to 200. Speed checks never reach 100. Comcast unable to fix. Is this computer unable to receive downloads greater than 100. Average speed cheks are in the 85-90 range. Never even gets to 100

@J4B5

What is your machine ? Please check its label at the back, it must be 20-something. I think your machine only has 10/100 NIC.

Regards.

The  model is 20-bo14. What does the 10/100 NIC mean? Is that the highest download speed  is 100?

Thanks

@J4B5

The following link shows its specs

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03522601

And it only has

LAN: 10-Base-T

  • Technology: Realtek RTL8175EH-VB-CG
  • Data transfer speeds: up to 10/100 Mb/s
  • Transmission standards: 10-Base-T Ethernet

10/100 NIC: 10/100 network card.

You need 10/100/1000 NIC to be able to get faster speed. I'm using the following USB adapter

    https://www.anker.com/products/variant/Aluminum-3-Port-USB-3.0-and-Ethernet-Hub/A7514041

and I can get 2 more USB 3.0 ports. There are many similar adapters around.

Regards.
