I tried to access the BIOS settings for my desktop yesterday but cannot. Upon reboot, I press the F10 key and a black screen appear with just a cursor blinking on the upper left hand corner of the screen. It just stay on that screen forever until I press the power button to turn off the machine. However - I am able to access the Boot Menu screen by pressing the ESC key after reboot. Does anyone know how I can get into my BIOS setting? Thanks.
I have the exact same problem. Nothing works. If you remove the battery, will work for a couple of days. Believe it's a bad memory, but cannot get to boot from the CD to read memtest86. How can you flash the cmos if you cannot logon ?
Asd Stupid as this may looks, use another Screen.... i do not know why but had exactly teh same problem, tryied same steps... Clear, new keyboard, new mouse, no network, no HDD, Bios Flash... all done that... hade same problem with another computer used at the same place, then i TRYIED to switch screen even if that as absoltely no relation to that problem them BAM!!! Worked, tryied the old screen back ( in case that was a luck ) and same problem, new screen F10 and everything ok.... on Both Computer, reverted back to old keyboard, mouse, hdd etc still OK the incompatibility was with the screen.... (adn only for bios, so i left the screen in place)
