Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 GHz Processor BX80570E8500 compatability with e2220 in a6838f Pavillion

I want to find out if I can upgrade my a6838f Pavillion with a e2220 socket 775 with a Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16 GHz .

    Be sure that your bios can support your processor upgrade.  Processors clock memory at differnet speeds so you might want to do some research.
