Use my all-in-one computer only as a external monitor

Omni 27- 1201es

Hi,

I want to use my All-in-one computer only as an external monitor.

I connect my laptop (HP ENVY) with an HDMI cable to the Omni 27 and the laptop recognizes it as a monitor but i can't see the image of the extention or duplicity.

When I bring the mouse to the right or left the computer act like an external compter is connected.

Can I use my useless HP Omni 27 only as an external monitor?

David

Use my all-in-one computer only as a external monitor

Hi there @dcaspa,

May the Forums be with you!  I understand that you wish to use your All-in-One computer as an external display for a notebook computer.  I am happy to assist you with this.

Some All-in-One computers can be used in that way. However, those that can use a special HDMI port that is an input, and generally there will be a button somewhere on that All-in-One that toggles on that HDMI In. If your computer does not have those then that function is likely not supported.

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.
