error: Removing the System Recovery Partition

HP Recommended
I'm using the "HP PC Recovery Tools CD" I created to remove the the system recovery partition. Only about 3 seconds after starting the opperation, I get the following message "The windows partition cannot be detected, please use the recovery cd/dvd to recover....blah blah blah" and it spits out the cd, and restarts windows, but the "D:" (recovery partition) is still there. It's an older version (pc recovery tools cd) but it is the one I burned just tonight.what could be the problem. There is very little documentation on this utility, other than the basic how-to.

Windows has a built-in disk management utility that will allow you to do what you want...and surprisingly it's named "Disk Management."  🙂

You'll need to run Disk Management, then just right-click on the 😧 drive and delete the partition....it's very simple.

More information can be found here and here.
