HP OMEN 27 165hz
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I woke up this morning to find my monitors display off with the power light a solid red, as normal. It wouldn't respond to the the power button either. I tried unplugging and replugging the power cable and the monitor stayed off, but the power light and the LED on the bottom of the monitor began flashing rapidly for ~15 seconds. After that the LED stopped flashing and the power light stayed a solid red. I have tried different outlets but it seems nothing works. My PC isn't detecting the monitor (using a backup for now). Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

Connecting the monitor to a different computer

Using a different cable, connect the monitor to another computer that has video. Turn on the monitor and the newly connected computer. What happens?

  • If the monitor works, the video hardware on the original computer is likely to be the source of the problems. You can try connecting the original computer to another monitor that works to update its video drivers.

  • If the monitor remains blank, repair or replace the monitor.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
