HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset
Microsoft Windows 11

Serial Number = [personal information removed] Product number = 1NOT5AA

Purchased June 2021. Obtained the updated power cable with switch. Ran perfectly on Windows 10.

Early 2023, I had the misfortune to become homeless and everything was packed away and stored at my daughters home. I was re-homed mid feb this year (2024). It takes a while to unpack and re-arrange et etc. Got the PC up and running first, and decided to upgrade from windows 10 to 11 (H23). Just found and unpacked the Reverb G2, plugged it in and . ... nothing! No lights or any indication that it is getting any power. I have checked that the USB c & USB 3 sockets are working using a webcam. I have tried every USB socket on the PC, whether it be USB type c or USB 3. It is plugged into a Nvidia 3080Ti via a display port, just the same as it was before. I have the latest graphics drivers. I have also just updated the BIOS on my long-in-the-tooth MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon MB (although it worked perfectly in the past). All the rest is an intel i5 9600K along with 32GB of fast Corsair RAM. Its all running off of a 1TB M.2 drive.

I am wondering if it could be the cable that has somehow 'died' while in storage, but seems very unlikley. I looked at the cost of a replacement but nearly died from shock at the price - £100 on A,mazon!!!

It's now looking like I have a £645 'brick', unless anyone can offer a solution??

Many thanks for reading this. I have tried 3 times to get to speak to someone over the phone, but that seems almost impossible, and I have been cut off twice without ever getting tp speak with a human being!.

Many thanks in advance

Glenn
