HP Omen 27 - Model No. Z4D33AA#ABA
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I was wondering if someone can provide me with some clarification. I have two HP Omen 27. I have a GTX 980 FTW ACX 2.0 with one DisplayPort and HDMI and DVI-I and DVI-D each. I have one monitor plugged in my GPU and it’s running fine at 2560x1440@165Hz. The second monitor I want to run with the same setting but I can’t use HDMI to HDMI because HDMI caps it at 60Hz. Is there a way around this? Can I buy a DisplayPort to HDMI from monitor to GPU for it to run at 165Hz? Or can I use DisplayPort to DVI-D to achieve 165Hz? How about buying a DisplayPort MST hub? Any help will be appreciated. I’d hate to have to buy another GPU with the 3 DisplayPorts.

Realize no matter what adapter you try to use, HDMI or DVI will still be the weakest link in the chain. So no it wont work.

If your goal is multi-monitors at 1440 165Hz, you will need that new graphics card.
