Greetings HP owners!
I'm looking to upgrade the 310 watt standard psu on the new pavilion 690 gamer, Does anyone know of a swap out unit that would provide at least 500 watts? Thanks for all replies!

Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
This HP power Supply (Link) may work with your system. The link may expire. The part number is L05757-800.
The dimensions of this 500 watt replacement PSU may not match the chassis dimensions of your specific PC.
No way to know this. HP does not provide details.
Oh, I forgot to add the following: I am directing you to a specific PSU because your motherboard and PSU have proprietary connectors. You can't install a retail PSU in your PC.

@Grzwacz asked me to comment.
The PSU used in the 690 series are NOT a standard ATX. The wiring it totally different. No one sells an upgrade in the US. (see hint I mentioned). The only means of attaining a 500W PSU was to create a custom order at Point Of Sale when you bought it. Buying the bottom line (yes I realize the initial cost) slams you later.
Right now the 795 series is consuming most of my investigative abilities. Same issue, likley same PSU. And the SATA power cables are 56 EUROs avail only from FR, GR, GB/UK. The product numbers for any part all start with an "L".
