Hello Ub6424

I did the battery test but the system is telling me there is no battery installed, however the bottom of my taskbar shows the battery fully charged. But I am still getting the white LED blinking at the ac power port which doesn't charge the battery until I hold down the power button for 30 secs.

Hello @Chris_L_D

This could be a software bug of <HP Support Assistant>, please double check:

(1) Test your hardware Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

--->>> Perform Component tests (AC Adapter / Battery)

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2854458-2733239-16

See section <Running HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tests when Windows doesn't start>

See how it works:

(2) Please report your results ( error messages, take pictures )

( if serial number, device id, UUID, System Board CT Number is displayed, please blur )

This video shows how to test your HP computer hardware using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI. If you suspect that your computer has hardware issues, follow the steps in this video to isolate and identify them using the HP PC Diagnostics UEFI. Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 00:18 Download and install

Hello Ub6424

So I did the battery test early yesterday morning with no difference in the picture I sent.

However, at the end of that day from doing some online work, I decided to run the battery test again and got this as the new result. I ran a component test on the battery and now it's saying the battery has failed the test and shown to have a blown fuse on it. So I am guessing the blinking white LED light on the power charging port was due to the battery being bad?
