OMEN 15 15-ce003nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I'd like to connect a gpu (rtx 3060 ti) to the m.2 slot on my OMEN 15 15-ce003nl to mine cryptocurrency . Right there in that slot there is a Samsung mzvlw256hehp-000h1 ssd. The laptop also has a SATA port to which i would connect an ssd to install the os.

To connect it i was planning to use a m.2 to pci-e riser like this: M.2 to pci-e riser

I know this is possible with desktop motherboards, but i have doubts it will work on a laptop?

thanks

My simple answer: This is NOT going to work as you wish, why ? You need much faster bandwidth for video adapter for the video card and better CPU + RAM to mine.

On the other hand, I don't believe machine has enough physical room for you to do a reverse engineering task like this.

Regards.
