Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Been playing around with this laptop around 3-4 month already, and i can tell you that I do not like the temp going up high on gaming, the CPU can go up to 95 C when playing CS_go or Call of duty, I was thinking that replacing the factory thermal paste and replacing it with Liquid metal thermal, On you tube I saw good review bringing down the temp. Would it be OK if i replace it? would it damage the laptop in long run,

Hi @stegadon23

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

Any modification to the hardware of the printer is not recommended. You may do so at your own discretion.

Let us try these steps to reduce over-heating of the PC

Make sure the PC is on a flat surface and the air vents are not blocked.

Install updates using HP Support Assistant

  1. In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
  2. Check for updates.
  3. If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

Note: If you do not have HP Support Assistant installed, Click here to download the same.

If the issue persists, perform the steps mentioned in this document.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
