I purchased the laptop a few days ago and tried to register it and the message came back and said the warranty is expired.  There is no link to dispute the warranty after attempting to contact HP.  How is it possible that a new laptop purchased from a large retailer can have an expired warranty before it was purchased?  I have the receipt and the packaging materials.

I was contacted by Shiva Kuma M and noted that says:  "We received the proof of purchase for your
<<HP product and/or HP Care Pack>>. The warranty status has been verified and our records have been updated."

However, when I try to verify the warranty status on the HP website it still says it's expired.  So this issue has still not been resolved despite HP considering this case closed.  It is still an ongoing issue.

I still get HP Pop ups telling me my warranty is expired.  I filled out the warranty dispute and it still tells me my new laptop has an expired warranty and wants to extend my my warranty.  How about just giving me the warranty that was supposed to come with the laptop when I purchased it?  So now I have to keep emailing some other department to dispute the warranty?  What kind of sick joke is this?

I went to the link and it's pretty useless as it keeps saying your warranty is expired or it wants me to buy an extended warranty.  Why would I buy an extended warranty if the original warranty isn't even valid?
