SSD Compatibility; GPU power

I have a HP Omen 17-AN012DX laptop and I was wondering if it had a slot for a m.2 ssd. Anyone have the answer to this?

Also, sometimes my GPU power drops off and acts like the laptop isnt plugged in. Its hit or miss on getting it working correctly again.

Hello @echo214

Yes it supports an M.2 NVMe SSD. Page 43 of the manual shows the details...

As far as the gpu drop offs, this occurs when exactly? During gaming or other stuff, more details will help me.

You are using a 230 Watt AC adapter also, correct?

I am using the supplied power adapter. It most often happens after a restart or resume from sleep

It is most noticeable during gaming, as the frame rate drop is high. Under a normal full load, it reaches ~88watts or so, when it drops, it is anywhere from 14-36 or so. The clock of the gpu also falls to between 300 and 608mhz, when normal is 1285 or so

Yes but I need you to actaully look at the adapter, read the rating so I know you werent sent the wrong one. Sometimes that happens. Which one is it?

OK thanks. To clarify, this happens when gaming plugged into the AC or only when on battery?
