There isnt an option as such. However this machine will  give you warning messages before the ink is

actually empty. This is to make sure that you have some extra inks handy as the machine needs it. So

the ink is empty when you see that prints are coming blank.

When I try to print, a small dialogue box showing ink levels and stating "cancel print job" appears in the bottom right corner of my screen.  If I rapidly click the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of the dialogue box, it will sometimes print the document.  However, if I don't click the "X" in time it will print about a quarter inch of the image, stop printing, and eject the sheet of paper.  Currently my levels shown in the box are:  photoblack about 1/8; c, m, and y full; black 1/2.  How can I get the printer to automatically print the document unless I click "cancel print job"?  PS C309a; USB wired, Microsoft Vista.

How can I fix the communications error, if it is the problem?

The printer makes a "ding-dong" sound when it decides to not print, but I haven't noticed any error messages.

Is there an "option" in setting printer parameters that allows me to override my computer's "decision" to NOT print when ink is low, but not empty?

Warning Message indicates photoblack about 1/8; c, m, and y Full; black 1/2.

Why does the printer cancel the print job when I have not clicked "cancel print job" in the warning box?
