Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Final episode in regionalization reset adventure. Tech support in U.S. accessed printer and displayed error message that reset had been attempted 3 times and could no longer be performed. Software  locks up after 3 attempts.  He told me customer support would call me the next day. He did-HP gave me $75 coupon toward new printer. I appreciate all the help from tech support and others on this forum. But the process is overly long. Somebody must have known early on that my printer was locked and could not salvaged. I'm sticking with my original advice. If you can get original cartridges on-line(e.g. Amazon) AND you can get them shipped to you, then stick with the original cartridges and avoid this whole process. Thanks again to everyone on the forum who helped out.
