Product: Ink cartridge 63 xl

I have used a HP 63 xl ink cartridge before without any problem. Tonight, I put in a new one and I am getting an error code saying the ink cartridge is not intended for this printer. I just took out a 63  ink cartridge out of my printer. Only difference is this is an XL and I used an XL before in this printer. Please help.
